20/20 Blind Never Far 1994

This is A very hard to find CD and pretty rocking if you ask me This Coming from Encyclopedia Of Contemporary Christian Music By Mark Allen Powell on page 968, The Christian group called 20/20 Blind (not to be confused with Twenty Twenty) was a hard rock band from Houston. The group played together for some three-and-a-half years before signing with Intrasound. Around the same time as their album release, three members (Alkire, Laurents, and McNeely) were involved in a serious traffic accident, sustaining long term injuries when their van was hit by a drunk driver. The group told the story of the accident and of theor recovery in HM, including the opportunity they had to offer forgiveness to the man responsible for the accident when they met him in court. Musically, 20/20 Blind had a sound influenced by groups like King's X and Queensryche, with an emphasis on melody and competent musicianship. "Do I?" is a heavy pop song that deals with the issue of sexual temptation. "Only Hope" exemplifies the band's straightforward evangelical approach to lyrics: "When the  storm is all around / And you think you're  going to drown / You know your only hope is in Jesus." Please enjoy and tell me what you think.
